CHEAP TOILET PAPER

About Me Value Oriented
It is cheap toilet paper, thin, but it works. Where is the second ply? What else do you need for an office?
1762.6 square feet and good

I have been trying out various recycled toilet papers. I couldn't find a small sample of Marcal to test, but when this went on special with free shipping, the price was so low and the investment minimized so I bought it without trying it first.I ordered on New Years Day and it arrived Jan. 4. Not too shabby for free shipping and ordering on a holiday. The box was a mess, ripped, taped, and still gaping open. I don't know if that's how it started out and that's why it's so cheap, or if it got mangled enroute. The first roll I fished out was pretty beat up but still usable. The rest of the rolls look OK.I have tried out two rolls and they are nearly impossible to get started. I had to slide my fingers under the end to separate the top layer and then use scissors. Even with your fingers under there, there's no obvious starting point...unless maybe it's that extra-thick part that is really sealed down solid! This tissue is softer than perhaps all of the recycled tissue I have tried, but not by much, and it's no Cottonelle. I think it is fine, seems soft, absorbent, and strong enough. Does not appear to leave lint.It was hard trying to figure out how much (in inches) TP I was getting. Marcal doesn't even give specs on its website but they are printed right on the box. 48 rolls is 1762.6 sq. ft. Each roll has 336 sheets, 4.3 by 3.66 inches. 4.3 is how wide it is if on a dispenser. (4.3 is the length of the cardboard tube) The cost per 1000 sq ft at this sale price is $13.58. The nearest comparable recycled TP I found was $16.93 per 1000 sq ft. Weight and thickness are considerations too. I found this TP to be similar in weight/thickness to Seventh Generation 2-ply and other recycled TPs I tried.

100% Recycled--That's the Point!

It's bathroom tissue, folks. It's as soft, strong, absorbent, what have you, as any other, and no more expensive if you buy it in quantity from Staples, and it's more environmentally friendly. So using it rather than some other brand that still cuts down forests to make pulp is really a no-brainer.
WE purchase this product over and over.

Marcal deserves credit for their fine line of responsibly-produced products and Staples deserves credit for carrying them.
