NO matter how careful you are you get ink on your hands when you change a setting. The messages and date are hard to set because stamp is upside down (for self inking) and you cannot tell exactly what message and/or date you are setting - have to guess and experiment.

The only thing I would change would be to add "entered" to the list.
As for getting ink all over, learn how to use. Turn the stamp up side down and press the bottom like you are stamping it and hold, it will display the current message and then you change the information with the wheels and you should not get ink all over you.

I should have listened to the reviews. We are a small business and I thought this stamp would be beneficial for our needs. This product should be taken of the shelves. It is horribly messy. No matter how careful you try to be you will get ink all over your fingers. Do not waste your money on this overpriced item.

I didn't believe the reviews about this stamp being messy. It's a mess! Used it twice (I didn't learn the first time)& my fingers are black. Not sure how you line up the phrase you want to use. I'm trying anymore.
