I bought this keyboard tray for use in my office, as my employer provided a "traditional" desk (with the worthless pencil tray in the middle where your chair slides under). Anyway, I have a laptop in a docking station with a large monitor on top, and the ergonomics were terrible (with the keyboar and mouse sitting on the desk).
I'm very handy and have my own tools, so I came in on a Saturday morning to install it on my own time). And aside from having to create a custom stack of lumber (because of the design/construction of my desk), it was a cinch to install.

This is a pretty stable tray, especially when you consider the low price. I will state two things about installation.

1) If you want it to retract all the way under your desk, you will have to mount it further back than instructed. I moved the Datum line from 1 5/8" (as instructed) to 4 5/8". Otherwise, the tray stuck out 2 7/5" when fully retracted.

2) You will need to drill holes for the screws that hold the extraction stop. They are longer than the depth of the mount. Not a big deal, and the extra holding of the screws provides extra support for the mount.
