All hooks I ever bought failed to hold cloth in place. I got tired of repeatedly picking up a dish towel or wash cloth off the floor because a smooth -ball like- tip does not hold the cloth in place.
I highly recommend this product because it can be easily modified to solve this problem. Take a course file and file down the prong on the inside so that the tip resembles a tiny pyramid with a sharp point. Now I just toss the towel in the direction of the hook - and wah-laaa! It stays in place. The plastic is soft - easier to file down than your fingernails, and its usefulness quadrupled!
