Comments about 3M Document Holders; for LCD/Flat Panel Monitors, Black:
Swing arm not easily adjustable for tension. Once adhesive tape fails (as it WILL), almost impossible to get holder to re-adhere... but then, short of using epoxy or screws I don't think any document holder will stay put.

It works fine for me, make sure you clean the surface it attaches to. I like that it has a lip at the bottom to hold small books or magazines and has a clip at the top for papers.

About Me Quality Oriented
I agree w/ the prior reviews regarding the difficulty w/ the arm which doesn't stay in place. I found, however, that I could fix the problem very simply. The screw on top of the arm (where it attaches to the monitor) needs to be tightened while the hex nut which anchors it underneath is held stationary. This isn't super easy to do, as the hex nut is difficult to hold down (we found needle nose pliers worked the best), but it can be done. As far as the stickum not holding the thing in place, I followed the directions....clean the monitor w/ alcohol, put the holder on the monitor, press for about 30 seconds then allow to sit for at least 1 hour before attaching the document holder. So far, no problems with the stickum thingie. I really like having this on my monitor. It takes up less space than a desktop document holder and makes it much easier for me to read what I'm typing w/out straining my neck!

Not the quality I'd expect from 3M

There is a piece of tape that comes with the product to adhere it to the monitor. The tape did not hold up and fell, knocking over my coffee and ruining my paperwork. The monitor can't be tilted back otherwise the holder will swing back as well.

Doesn't work if you have screen tilted.

This item easily attaches to the side of a flat panel monitor. However, there is no way to lock the arm into place. If you have your monitor tilted back, the document holder swings back; there is no way to keep it in a certain position for use. I had 3M replace the one I received, and the 2nd one had the same problem. I have to put a full bottle of water behind it to use it.
