The high-priced designer desk,credenza & small file preferred by my boss did not work well for the hours of computer work he does. Now he can keyboard comfortably without giving up the executive decor he favors, plus the simple utilitarian design blends with the existing furniture. Having the mouse pad in the drawer saves a lot of retrieving it from the floor.

Use a Wacom tablet frequently and keyboard needs to be accessed for shortcuts not programmed into tablet. I have several cats who like to visit and would walk across the keyboard and create problems. Drawer allows keyboard to be hidden when not needed and peace declared on desktop visitors. Would have hoped it had a smaller footprint on desktop but otherwise it has solved problem purchased to fix.
