Smooth Stapling! Easy to Reload!!

Comments about Swingline® Optima® 40 Desktop Staplers; 40 Sheet:
I almost didn't buy this stapler because I saw the low score online before I got to the store. But it is a great stapler for 2 pages or 30. TO LOAD THE STAPLER, PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE TOP BACK, it pops the front open to load staples! description on package could be a little clearer as to where the one touch button is, but its quite easy!
Great stapler for arthritic hands

About Me Quality Oriented
I bought the first one to handle the in-between jobs: too big for regular staplers and too small for our big capacity stapler. It is perfect for that. Not so good if you try to staple just a few sheets-rather violent jerk. I also like that it stands on in so takes very little desk space. We have used the first one for over a year with no jamming, solid use. I just bought another based on our experience with the first (which is still going strong)
Not easy to use

I had a "power assisted" stapler from Swingline before that I loved. This one is not nearly as effortless to use.
Super Nice Stapler
By iteachpsych

I bought this stapler when I grew weary of less expensive "high capacity" staplers that seemed mostly made of plastic and unable to staple the thick stacks of multiple assignments and papers I routinely give back to my students. I have had this stapler for about 2 years now (the price has come down nicely since then!) and have not been disappointed. It is a bit heavy to take with me in my briefbag, but I would not expect a higher capacity stapler to be designed for portability. I do find it a bit silly that a whole strip of staples can't be loaded at once, but, seriously, how difficult it is to break one smaller? I like that the staples for this come in a secure metal box, not a paper box that breaks apart and scatters the staples all over my desk drawer.
A little disappointing

decided to spend more money to get a better quality so I did not have to deal with jams all the time but the stapler does in fact handle the higher volume like it claims but it is heavy for me to use when I am stapling several things in a day. It tends to jam or not staple all the way when you only have a couple pages to staple together. you really have to slam down or squeeze really hard to get it to work and then it is loud for my coworkers.
Too heavy for every day use!

We are a small office with staplers that have a maximum of 25 sheets. I thought it would be good to have a stronger and heavier stapler for projects over 25 sheets. This is not that product!

Great Stapler

I like that it will staple more pages than a regular stapler. It's great.
No compaints so far!

No complaints so far, I've had it for a week only, it works great, but I think it's a little too heavy.
Impossible to load, no instructions
By Punch

Stapler came without any instructions on how to load. Spent considerable time searching for online instructions. Found a couple, but still unable to load stapler. Totally useless purchase.
