Returned the first three to Office Depot because the first one was obviously used and the other two only worked for a couple of days then they just quit working. Thought the third time was a charm since this one actually lasted about six months before it started jamming every 3rd staple or so. I worked with it for a few months until it started jamming on every staple. I researched online and found a number to call for ACCO Brands' warranty replacements. Returned it three months ago and still do not have a replacement! Called today only to be told it is still on backorder. Suggested they send me a comparable stapler as it is disrupting work productivity. They are sending me the Optima 70 but I did a little research and it appears it has the same complaints. Horrible product!!!!

I purchased this stapler because it's advertised to staple "up to 45 pages" of 20 lb. paper. Similar to other reviewer comments, it does not come close to stapling 45 pages. The best I could do was 30 pages in manual mode. My average stapler job is 28 pages, so I decided to keep the stapler for two reasons. First, I believe if it is advertised with a 45 page capacity and it only does 30 pages, a stapler advertised with a lesser capacity probably would not staple even 30 pages. Second, most of my staple jobs are between 20 and 40 pages. If I opted for a larger capacity (which uses larger staples), the larger staples would end up going through and curling up through the top of the pages.

I also find it quite annoying that there is no on/off switch or time out mode for the light. It is always on needlessly using electricity.

Less bothersome is the plastic construction which gets stratchs upon removing the stapled documents and the poorly constructed design of the staple magazine, which I anticipate will eventually break.

this things jams all the time and once its jam theres no going back. you cant open the thing to unjam it. it breaks more often then i can use it.

this stapler worked great for about a year, then it just quit working. sent it back (5 year warranty), got the replacement in a week. didn't realize how much I loved it till it was gone...the replacement seems stronger.
when I use up the warranty (and I'm sure it will malfunction again), I'm thinking about upgrading to the big industrial-looking swingline. the customer service couldn't have been better during the exchange. i think I will be buying the suggested staples from now on if that's why it messed up in the first place.

The first stapler we purchased malfunction as the release to add staples would stick and the orange light would flash. We returned it for another one as the stapler does staple through thickness without struggle, which is why I purchased it.

I researched many electric staplers and am really glad I bought this one. It is hassle-free and durable. It easily staples thick documents, but also has no problem stapling only a couple of pages. It has a flashing light alert when the supply of staples is getting low. It is easy to use, and well designed. I use it on automatic, and while it took a little practice to find exactly the right spot to insert the document and activate the staple in the right spot, it is now a snap. I definitely would recommend it to all users.

i am very satisfied with the stapler. It takes care of volume,staple is all the way in so doesn't catch on fingers or other papers. Easy to use, easy to install staples, and is reliable. I like it a lot. I would recommend it to anyone for use personally or in business. Does a great job. Wish i would have bought it sooner. Wasn't that expensive either. Good buy, reliable and easy to use. Go to Staples and buy one for your use.
