We had two of these scissors which were used daily for very light cutting (single piece of paper). On both, the handles have broken to some degree and the only thing holding it together was the rubber grip. I believe it has a design flaw. In order to add the rubber grip the diameter of the support inside was greatly reduced. The simple act of closing the scissors eventually causes the handle to develop stress fractures in the plastic which eventually breaks.
