Light cream paper with light brown lines is easy on the eye, does not distract from text; Paper is heavy enough to use without bleed through or tearing. Cover and backing sturdy enough to use as tablet without a clipboard.Durable enough to keep for many years.
Improvement would be acid free paper.

Excellent paper. The surface is smooth (I've used calligraphy pens, ballpoint, and gel inks). The grid on the back is useful as well, though often I use it for my geometric doodles. It packs well because the cover and back are sturdy enough to protect the paper from bends and tears. I use it on every job. There are also perforations at the top if you want a clean tear. The color of the paper is another nice touch -- really soft on the eyes.

I like the wire bound, much neater when pages are turned, not messy looking like a regular yellow pad, much better quality. I use it for notes daily, usually do not tear out the pages. I would rather pay a little more for the better quality.
