Comments about Anchor Brand� Filter Plate; 5-1/4 x 4-1/2, Gold, #9 Shade:

I have used this brand and style of welding filter for years. This is far better than your standard green tinted filters. It gives a much clearer view and UV protection. It keeps your helmet cooler with the gold reflective coating. The only downside, it still cast a green color into what you see. It is not true neutral density in shade. Not a big issue, but would be nice if you could really see true colors. This filter works very well for TIG welding. I've also used it for stick welding.
