my primary purpose in applying this equipment is to provide continuity of power to my computer/phone system in the event of a commercial power failure while i may not be home. this insures that my alarm monitoring system stays functional long enough to alert the authorities. (a recent nearby break-in where thieves cut power to kill the alarm is why.)
it performs as expected, and actually gives me a little peace of mind while away from the house.

This UPC was easy to setup. Even when only putting a computer & monitor on it, the battery shows as lasting about 15 - 20 minutes. Not a long time but enough for employees to save their work and properly shutdown their computers if the power is out. I also like the auto-shutdown feature for when the power goes out when employees are not available to shut their computers down themselves.

This device should be attached to every PC. Not only does it ensure clean power, it gives you time to save your work and shut down the PC when power is interrupted. Just don't kid yourself into thinking that you can still use your PC when the power is out. I am also in the opinion that use of a UPS will actually extend the life of your PC by providing it with a supply of clean and steady power.

On another note, it's vertical design fits better in the work area than the horizontal design of other UPSs that are available. It may cost a few bucks more but it's worth it.

This APC product is of a high-quality design and construction that is produced right here in the good ol' US of A.
