This is to replace a 1000W unit that died which had non-replacable battery. I like the fact that this unit's battery is replacable. I haven't had power outage yet but like the green outlet that I plug the speaker and monitor in so they get completely turned off when main system is off.
The PowerChute software tells you the load on the battery, on my i7 w/mid-range GPU says it has an estimated batter time of 63 min? I also used the software to disable the annoying periodic beep that comes on when the power goes out.

I replaced a 5 year old APC 650 unit with this one. Would be nice if they would spread out the distance between the plugs a bit more.
