I now have two of the same units. I use one of them as a backup power supply for my home computer plus the LCD monitor and it gives me over thirty minutes of run time in the event of a power failure. It also offers protection and line conditioning in the event of a power spike or brown out, these happen very often where I live. The second unit is used as a backup power supply for my router and network switch. This is really useful in the event of a power outage because it keep my home network up and running. These items are a no brainer if you live in an area with frequent power outages and brown outs.

It is unfortunate that PowerChute Software in not Mac compatible as it limits ability to see equipment status and operation, The software is good when used with other APC UPS with PCs.

Very limited backup time. Computer and screen and removing all other peripherals only gave 9 to 10 minutes back-up. Did not even have enough time to get downstairs to shut down. Irene Won! I have other APC products that were quite acceptable.
