We have a multi line office and have found that while on the phone,the answering machine will not answer the call, on that set only. But if the receptionist is gone and I'm on my extention the answering machine answers perfectly. If you want to purchase just a single phone and be on the line and have the other lines answered this will not work. If you have multiple phones as I do then its great!

This phone was bought for a small business office & is great in every way EXCEPT that the answering machine is not made to pick up if you are using this phone in any way - for example on the other line! This defeats the purpose of having the answering machine on the phone. I even called the 800# to clarify & they said that is correct. You can buy the 1070 & get all the other options & it is cheaper.
