I bought this binder in Feb '13 for my 5th grade son for school to replace his original school binder he'd had since Aug '12 (which was still functional, but the cover had become worn). Within 2 weeks, this brand new binder had its rings out of alignment. The rings would not close, which meant the loose leaf paper could not be turned without snagging horribly with each use. I took this binder right back to the store for a refund!!!

Works well for storage of monthly documents, most recent to least recent with tabs, and also for retention of additional end-of-year documents at the back of the binder. Also the shape of the rings allows for easier closure of the covers over the documents without use of sheet lifters to prevent the curling of the sheets over the rings.

Three of these binders are large enough to hold our documents for our small farm for the year. Added monthly dividers make organization easy for the operation and for taxes. It also simplifies storage. The spine is dated and kept in a bookcase for easy retrieval if needed. Our file cabinets are almost obsolete with this system.

My son has Asperger's Disorder so his fine motor skills are lacking. I bought this binder because he was able to open and close the binder with ease. This is great because this is less frustration for him during classes. The only problem I see with these binders is that the seams need to be of a stronger construction. The seams tore apart about half way through the school year.
