This pen is fantastic for signing checks, jotting notes, and for marking folder tabs. It has permanent ink that won't smudge or run. The pen allows great control so penmanship is very good. I LOVE THESE PENS!

I use this pen for everyday use, but love that it looks great, flows smoothly and is easy to use. However, it does not do well writing carbon copies (such as checks) as the point does not press firm enough to show up on the copy well.
