Comments about BIC Mechanical Pencil Value Pack; 0.9mm, Assorted Metallic/Gray Barrels, 24/Pack:
I no longer use anything other than a 9mm mechanical pencil. The lead is thick enough to not break.
Great erasers on these

Very good pencils for taking math tests and doing math problems. The erasers are soft enough to erase without putting a hole in the paper.
I like the stronger lead.

I like the strength I get with a .9mm lead. I use these pencils for drawing, and I also like being able to purchase softer lead (4B) replacements to increase the darkness in shadow areas. I recently bought the big package so I could share them with my art students. With budgets for art programs gutted in recent years, I find that I often have to purchase supplemental supplies from my own pocket. Needless to say, I appreciate a good value, but I also recognize that quality items will usually outlast less expensive ones. The Bic Mechanical pencils are a good, midrange pencil. I gave them 4 of 5 points only because I prefer a more unique look, and a slightly thicker pencil.
I would buy this product again!

About Me Value Oriented
These are great pencils for small writing such as on forms for genealogy. They are great for marking the backs of picture, obituaries, articles and many more aspects of a genealogist. This pencil is an easy asset to take along without needing to carry a sharpener. You can take multiple pencils and never worry about running out of ink or the lead dulling. These are especially handy when doing research for your genealogy group, indexing, noting grave stone placement sheets with descriptions, etc. A great tool!
We keep one evey where we write!

About Me Budget Shopper
My husband and I divided the pencils according to colors. (We both think the other is always walking away with the others writing utencil, so that solved that problem!) Then we each put a pencil in every single place where we each write. We like them because they are easy to use, refill and they are tougher than most in that the lead does not break easily. If you have not ever used mechanical pencils, you will surely get hooked on these if you will only buy one package and try them! We really like them!

.9 MM is the best lead.
By puzzle jumper

I like to do a lot of puzzles and scrambles in the newspapers, so I find 9mm lead is easiest to see, and if a mistake is made, the eraser works fine. I have trouble seeing in some situations, but using the 9mm lead works just fine.

I use them every day in my shop. I bought a pack so I will have plenty on hand, so when I can't remember where I left the the one I was using, I can grab another right away.
