This is the second HL-5470DW printer we have in the office and they have worked well for us. We have had good luck with Brother printer and all in one machines. At this time, I will buy another when another older Brother machine needs to be upgraded.

I really like the fact that I can do bigger print jobs and not need to buy more ink after a few pages. I had so many issues with my inkjet and needed a new printer immediately. This printer really was a great buy for me. It prints multiple pages quickly and I don't have to buy ink so frequently. I love it. I wish I could afford a printer similar to it that uses color also. I am thankful that I was able to afford this one and a box of paper. I have enjoyed being able to print everything I have needed with this printer.

Uses toner much faster than what the store employees stated.
Also, it says it prints "booklet style," but it doesn't do that on my Windows 8 computer.

This is the fourth Brother mono-color laser printer I have purchased. Two died after prolonged, heavy use; I got more than my money's worth from them, but it is sad that doay's technology is disposable.

I started looking at the Brother Laser printers because of a favorable rating for one model in Consumer Reports. As I looked compared the cost/page of the various vendors, Brother toner cartridges seemed lower than most of its competitors, and my Brother 5470DW model was the best of that line. With the 8000 high efficiency cartridge, the cost/page is the lowest I have seen!

The only issue I encountered was configuring the wireless connectivity. The instructions left me confused, and it took awhile to finally get it working. As I was installing a new wireless gateway device at the same time, it may not have all been a printer problem though.

This replaced an HP 4P which lasted 20 years with very few issues, expectations are very high. The printer's duplexing feature is really nice. The printer is very fast and the printed text has been crisp and clear. Overall the construction looks good, I have high hopes for it lasting a long time, although I would be surprised if it lasted as long as the HP.

The input paper tray has a reasonable high capacity and the little window that allows you to see how full the tray is nice. When not in use the unit is completely silent. It is fairly noisy when printing but not any louder than other printers.

This was a replacement printer for an HP6p laser printer that I had for years. It was cheaper to replace with the Brother than the equivalent HP. Good print quality and quick printing. Very satisfied.
