I recently purchased this mono laser printer. It is amazing, fast, quiet, no paper jams, can't say enough good about this printer. I own and operate a Tax Office. Obviously my business is seasonal. So in a short amount of time I run a lot of government approved documents. Plus copies for the clients. Very happy with the speed and appearance of the documents. Would recommend this to anyone with a small office or home if you only need black and white documents. Toner seems to last forever.

Small footprint for a fast printer. Other printers that are of similar speed are much more expensive. Very impressed with its speed and clearity of print.

Bought this for a small office. Printing capabilities very limited. Auto Select paper feed option doesn't work. Several discussions with customer service at Brother finally revealed that this machine simply will not wait for odd paper sizes or envelopes to be loaded - it will print using whatever paper is actually in the machine at the time the print button is pressed. Not efficient at all for multiple users. Might work well if within reach of the person printing. Bought the machine yesterday. Wasted 2 hours with customer service representatives. Returning the machine today.

It was easy to set up, which is a plus. Prints fast. Copy quality is poor; not sharp. You have to be careful what type of paper you use. I used some laser labels and the ink rubbed off. Not only is copy quality poor, something seems off with the roll/drum because I get smudges on the paper. Sometimes also it looks like the "type" stays on the drum and repeats itself further down the printed page….hard to describe, but for example, if I printed out this page I am tying, some of the sentences appear in a shadow further down the page.

The printer was easy to install and the print even on duplex is very quick. This printer will be a real time saver for me in my business I am sure I will have more to say after I use it for a while and really put it through its paces.

Great home office asset. I use it for all non-color jobs and find the toner save features make it economical to use. I love the simplicity of its duplex printing. As of one months use, I'm completely satisfied.

I used its predecessor the HL-5250 for years - in fact, we still use it as a second printer - and have always been very happy with it. This does everything the old model did - just quite a bit faster. A perfect B&W printer for a home office.
