This pencil sharpner replaced our older one which forever the handle was falling off, then completely come apart. This one mounted to the wall easily. It feels durable and sturdy. If I let it, it would grind away the whole pencil. It is very sharp and makes a pointy tip. I expect it to last a long time. A great value.

I use this in my classroom. The attachment that secures it to the counter doesn't work well. Students are constantly knocking it loose. The sharpener works well except for coloring pencils.

I just got this pencil sharpener 1/3/13 and it is great. Select the hole size that perfectly positions your pencil. Insert pencil, push with slight pressure, and grind a perfect point.

I feel this is much better than electric sharpeners because you can control how hard you push the pencil while grinding and this allows better sharpening of softer pencils.
