This pencil sharpener is NOT a powerhouse! It lasted about 3 months in my 5th grade math classes.

I purchased 15 of these for our elementary school, some of them didn't work at all when we got them out of the box! Most of them only last a few weeks. Save your money - don't purchase this terrible product.

This product is not compatable with todays pencils. I bought two and they lasted for about 12 sharpenings each. Some of the new pencils have a paper covering for esthetics and perhaps this is part of the issue. Very disappointing!

Our PTA purchased six of these for our elementary school. This is a fair sharpener however it could not hold up to classroom use. Some died quickly, others took a few months. The worst part, the warranty. In order to get the sharpener replaced the buyer had to return the broken product to Elmer's (parent company) at their own expense (these sharpeners are heavy) and to add insult to injury, the company (Elmer's)bills the customer to ship a new sharpener! Won't buy any more of these!

I bought this for my home office a few months ago. I hardly ever use it & my twins use it only to sharpen pencils for school. The motor now sounds like it is about to die & it only sharpens one side of the pencil. Waste of money.
