States that will print up to 10,000 pages...there is NO WAY it comes close to this amount even though we use the printer a lot. Same goes for colors--they do not do 6,000 pages. Otherwise, good product, though is VERY expensive...most expensive on market that I've seen.

Also, sellers never tell you the cost of replacement cartridges, OPC belts, fuser units etc. OPC belts last about 1 yr & cost $360+: Would refer to anyone who can afford to pay these prices.

My printer, the Brother 9420CN, was the top of the line printer several years ago. My paralegal services business demands the best. I cannot deliver poorly printed documents to attorneys and courts. Since this toner cartridge was designed by Brother for this printer, it has excellent performance every time. The only fault I have with it is that it is a bit expensive, when you must buy it. But, for the quality and number of pages printed, I have never had to buy it more than once every 6 months.

This black toner is useless if even one color cartridge is signaled out of toner (MFC 9420). If that message is displayed, the printer will not accept even black and white from the platen glass, let alone monotone from the computer, even if this black and white cartridge is full. If the finance department at Brother received a bonus for "encouraging" the use of color, it was premature. This is a deal breaker.
