      I love the Brother printer, however, the toner life is not close to 1400 copies as the manufacturer rates it. My printer option is set to TONER SAVE MODE and the quality at NORMAL not fine. Still, I have never gotten close to 1400 copies. With these settings, I average about 700 - 950 copies before the toner needs changed.

          Have had this printer for 2 years and there is no way these cartridges come close to yielding 1400 pages - 500 pages maybe. To replace 4 costs ~$200. Do that every 45-60 days and your spending well north of $1000 on just toner. The only reason I haven't abandoned is because I don't trust that any other commercial printer will do much better; so I'm sticking with the problem I know.
