I use the color printer to print weekly bulletins at church where I am a secretary. I also use the printer to do other office documents that I want in color. I use my other black and white copier for bulk printing because the cartridges are way to expensive to use the Brother laser printer on every day run of the mill copies.I didn't know it was going to cost this much when I purchased the printer or I would have chose a different kind of printer.

These cartridges don't last very long at all and, are very expensive (everywhere).

You can almost buy a new printer for the cost of 4 cartridges. I've never even gotten close to 1500 pages out of ANY of the cartridges. I doubt I get 500 pages.

What can you say about the manufacturer's toner cartridge? Only use Brother toner cartridges in Brother printers. They are excellent.

I use this product because the machine I bought requires it. Don't have a choice. But it does perform well and the print outs look great. I haven't tried it w/ high quality print outs, but I don't think my machine has that high of resolution anyway...so for everyday use, it's great.
