Excellant Machine. Second one purchased for this office. Heavy typing during certain times of month.
Great!

I love the fact that I was able to find a typewriter. It was just a off chance that I checked Quill and found one. It is not as good as my IBM and Xerox, which both died, but hey it gets the job done.
Great Value

This will be great for filling in forms from other agencies, small cards, address an envelope. Saves time. Faster than trying to use a computer and printer for one time forms, etc.

Great Machine for the Cyberage!

Wow! I gave this machine to my aunt who will be celebrating her 80th birthday this year and she LOVES this machine!
Works good for light typing

I use it for typing invoices and checks. Like the fact that it has the option to line print but does not allow you to use the back space key when using the tab button. So overall it does serve its purpose but I still miss my Smith-Corona Wordsmith.

Buying a new one
By office writer
from Boston, MA
I purchased this typewriter for my company. We only type on it for 5-10 minutes, several times a week. The machine started failing within 6 months. Letters would "skip" and only partially appear, the daisy wheel fell out of place a few times, and the correcting function stopped working properly. It's been over a year now (many problems later) and we are looking into a new machine. Don't waste the money.

Not recommended for heavy daily use
By Jim
from Reading, PA
This is not a heavy-duty typewriter. The prongs that hold the correction tape on are very very flimsy. The carriage that holds the typewriter ribbon has always given us trouble. We will not be buying these low-end Brothers again.

Nothing good to say!

Used for bid forms etc. in busy office. Difficult and time consuming to set up. Occasionally quits working. So light, it moves around during some functions. Just not very efficient!
