Brother printers work well with their own toner. I have tried other non name brand replacements to save money but they aren't consistant and cause printer problems. We have switched back on all of our printers to name brand toner to ensure proper printing. It costs too much as do all toners.

Anyone who prepares taxes knows that your cartridge ALWAYS runs out in the middle of tax season, during the middle of the night.

Using the Brother TN-650 High Yield Toner Cartridge eliminates this all too often event.

At the beginning of tax season I purchase a Brother TN-650 to keep in reserve and the problem NEVER happens !

Have tried various "high yield" cartridges, but this is "The One" Best one I've ever used.

Never begin tax season, or any season, without this great product !

I will only buy this brand name product and I find the high yeild to be helpful so we don't have to replace it that often. Other companies have been trying to get us to order from them or use refurbished recycled versions which I have learned from past experiences with other cartridges to be inferior as well as causing damage to the machines. I prefer to get it directly from Staples as we know it will be in stock as well as the best price for the most part.I find the sales people from the other companies to be very pushy and I don't believe they can truly beat the prices @ Staples and some of them claim they are working in conjunction with Staple's which makes me very leary.

TN-650 toner for Brother is a very good product. The printer normally lasts for several years. It prints very well, my toner cartridges last 3 months and I run a business. I use it everyday and so do my 4 employees. I trust Brother. I would never switch brands. I have referred Brother to my colleagues and they are also happy with it. The cartridge is pretty neat, no loose black powder which means no sloppy changing of toners, so I am a happy camper with the prints, the cleanliness and it is easy to install.

Cartridge is programmed to "expire" after a certain number of uses regardless of whether they were text/graphic heavy using lots of "ink" or light. This is a very annoying feature but seems unavoidable. So order replacements sooner than you'd think to be sure you don't get caught unexpectedly having run out. Otherwise I'd still recommend getting this over the smaller cartridge as they both have their automatic termination pages. Cartridge is easy to install and not messy at all.

This is a high end product with a high end result. It give you many copies for the price and in some cases, even more. I highly recommend it to all of the people who print lots of documents for either personal or business. The initial cost is high since it covers so many copies but once you do the numbers the price per copy is very reasonable. The way this printer works is simply stupendous and in many ways it rivals many of it's competitors. I will be investing in a second printer for my home since I do print documents there as well.
