The cartridges are easy to install. There is a good inferface between the computer and the printer.The color is good. The cartridges need to be changed quite often so next time I need a printer I am going to do a better job of evaluating the total cost. The printers are inexpensive but the ink is expensive.I have had the printer for over four years and it never fails to work. Before the Brother printer I had a Epson printer at least two that kept breaking down. Less stores are keeping the Brother ink cartridge so at some time I may not be able to buy the cartridges for my printer because of it's age

    We have a Brother copier and always use the brother ink. We always buy at Staples. We also buy our HP ink their. Their prices are competetive and the service is good. We have also purchased our lap top computer from Staples.
    We did this after searching around at other places we settled on Staples because of the help we got in covering all of our needs on the computer.
    We recycle our ink cartridges at Staples. The service is always good and the people are very helpful, the people go out of their way to help us find things. They make suggestions on different items. We also have used their UPS drop off.

    The Brother MFC is a decent (not exceptional)printer/scanner but won't fax over cable modem. It won't print at all, even in black, when any one of the color cartridges is empty. The cartridges are far too expensive.

    The cartridge does not last as long as I would like for the money. All the cartridges run out of ink at different times and, I understand that, but it makes it very difficult to continue printing a job if you are only printing in black if you do not have extras hidden away. There should be something done to allow you to at least continue to print in black when any of the color cartridges need to be replaced. I was doing a job and the cyan ran out. I was printing in black and it wouldn't allow me to continue until I replaced the cyan. I had to stop everything and go to staples to purchase the cyan. Came home, put the cyan in the machine and then I could continue printing in black.
