The yellow cartridge seems to deplete first out of the group of 4 cartridges. On a single print job of 100 copies the yellow normally must be replaced at least once. If the yield was 600 copies per cartridge it would be worth the price. But that yield is certainly not a fact. Need to definitely consider a laser printer verses an ink jet printing machine and that's mainly because of the yellow. I print business promotion materials and it seems the yellow replacement interval is about 3 to 1.

When compared to other printers that I've used, my Brother all-in-one printer using High Yield Cartridges out-performs other printers. If it seems that you're having to purchase ink for your printer every day, you should compare a Brother printer using High Yield Cartridges to yours. I know that you will be surprised how less often you're changing print cartridges even if you're doing heavy duty printing such as color pictures. Plus since each color is a separate cartridge, you save money by only having to buy the color that you need and not have to replace a multi-color and more expensive ink cartridge.

The yellow seems to get used up faster than the cyan and megenta. The Brother MFC-J825 printer, copies and fax works great producing exceptionally good copies. The MFC is very easy to use with the little instruction screen. It is easy to make enlargements and reduction. Just the yellow to be used at about the same rate as the others.
