Comments about Brother LC75BK Black High-Yield Ink Cartridge:
Purchased a other printer due to it's capacity, since I have it, it has performed beyond expectations. I have only used the Brother ink as replacements and have been totally satisfied with each and everyone. Previous printers and their brand cartridges just didn't hold up, the ink seemed to run out a lot sooner then anticipated based on the page rating by the manufacturer. After the first Brother printer and brand cartridges did so well I replaced my home printer too. I use my office printer everyday heavily running 11 x 17 prints, 8.5 x 11 pages both color and B/W, using XXL cartridges and have never been dis-satisfied with the ink capacity or performance, the replacements have NEVER failed to install and run correctly compared to other brands. Definitely would recommend these cartridges and the printers.
Better yield than the color

The black cartridge does result in a higher copier yield than the color cartridges for the same printer machine. The black cartridge yield is certainly much closer to the 600 copies than the color cartridge claims of 600 copies. However, the black yield from a laser printer cartridge is much higher and is probably more cost effective then using an ink jet type of printer and print cartridges. From a business use perceptive I have concluded that a laser printer and cartridge results in a more cost effective copy yield.
Got only 400 copies

The Brother Printer JB25DW has been reliable.I have only used it to scan and print. I would like the instruction manual to have larger print and clearer illustrations. I would like to see online help desk to trouble shoot problems and walk the user through installation. A live help chat would appeal to us older users who do not feel confident with technology. This product can be more user friendly. I know the profit is in the sales of the ink cartridges. Perhaps a savings incentive can work like: BUY 5 AND THE 6 ONE FREE (or even half price would be a savings on the 6th cartridge) So I am speaking for the older consumers which make up a large marketing group since we have more time to take advantage of your products. As a former teacher, a well produced video can simplify the entire installation process and troubleshoot any problems and questions. We are great visual learners so your manuals and websites including possible videos would help us who feel unsure about setting up a printer or using technology. Mot important is the print size.

The cartridge is very easy to replace. I'm not sure I get 600 pages, but I think it's pretty close.

I love my printer and the cartridge because they are easy to change. The only thing is that I do not like that I have to change them so often. I use my printer a lot. I so not like the fact that I have to use the ink so fast or it will not work. Like before I do a lot of printing of school papers and coloring page print outs for the kids and there are the times that I do print out pictures for my family. The ink takes along time to dry. When I do the printing I like to be able to pick them up and take them with me without worrying that the ink is going to get all messed up and all over my hands.
How can you compare?
By Davie

No volume information is offered for ANY of the cartridges. So how can one compare unit prices even within the same product line, e.g. long life vs "regular" life cartridge/print output?
1/2 of what advertised

I don't believe I'm getting the quantity as advertised. Color density is O.K. but not great. Haven't used it for design projects on superior photo stock, no need for that. Price is better than Epson, but I don't think the print quality is. Would like to use it for cover stock but think the heavier stock will jam in the printer... or I'm doing something wrong.
