this is my 4th Brother printer, they don't last very long, maybe 2 to 3 years; but they are cheap enough and it's cheaper to get a new one than to buy 4 new Brother ink cartridges.
The software can be problematic and cause some problems with the PC ....

Product is very compact and an excellent value for all the functionality provided. This printer is very easy to set up (but a little time consuming) and appears to be very reliable. An added bonus here is that the replacement ink cartridges are relatively inexpensive. Over the years I have had very good luck with Brother products as they are well manufactured and tend to be very durable. About the only complaint about this model is that the paper tray doesn't hold quite as many pages as I would like -- printer would still be pretty compact if built up another inch. I think this product is excellent value.

Color, B&W of duplex printing with fax, scan, copy and wireless networking printing from laptop, all in this compact printer. That's everything one could ask for. I'd give 5 stars, but due to designing, the USB connection was hidden inside the printer. Traditionally, I was looking/expecting the USB connection on the back of printer, but no, I have to read the manual to find it.

Could not get wireless to work. Router was not a problem. Returned to store. I have owned Brother Printers before. Never had an issue. Guess I just got a bad one.

would not buy this printer again I have it about one month I used it once to try it sent a fax copied a photo and made one copy and printed something out it worked fine did not use it again for three weeks and it would not print am going to call the maker of unit to see if they can walk me thru the problems with unit

This is a very nice printer. Chose Brother because of the reliable name. It's is very sleek and has a smaller foot print than my last Lexmark. It was very simple to set up, I didn't even need the directions. It shows you how to set up right in the LED window. The only con I have is that it is loud, but I can deal with one small con. If it was quieter I would have given 5 stars.

Easy to install but hard to set up personal information when attempting to identify for fax use. Unable to locate okay key to establish menu item acceptance. Otherwise prints fast, gives option for high and low end ink and duplex printing is wonderful option which is a plus on saving paper. The machine also has a power saver feature and WIFI feature works wonders with laptops of Study Group. The machine does not take up much space and software/drivers are on Brother's Web site if disc is lost.
