Now days I rairly need or use a fax but it is so nice to have when I do need one. I am still setting it up but am sure that it will serve us well for years to come as the last fax/phone was in use for nearly 15 years before it gave out. I like that I can program in many phone numbers and have them ready to use with just a touch to the keyboard. All in all I am positive that we are going to enjoy it.

It's a very good product I have told my friends about it. that they should get one also brothers have very good products. This is my fourth product that I have brought with brother's the brother's name. An brother's type writer,an brother's sewing machine,the brother 560 fax machine and now the brother's intelli fax-1270e it's a brother's facsimile transceiver.It's very reliable fax machine I use it for my business use I also use it to take care of my personal business.I think everyone should buy this fax machine. Also try some of the other products brother's have to offer they are very reliable. I have been buying brother's products since the early 1990's and I'm very happy with them.

Uses a roll of carbon paper for ink. Can't hardly read incoming faxes, gets worse with multiple pages coming through.

Today I used the Brother Fax Machine for the first time. The 2-page fax went through successfully, I learned later, because, instead of just being able to see the results of the transmission immediately displayed in the LED display box, I had to email the fax recipient and wait for his reply to make sure it had gone through. Naturally, I'm upset that I can't get a fax transmission report ON THE DISPLAY BOX. Turns out the only way I can get it verified is to go in and print out the information manually in hard copy. This is a complete waste of time and paper, and a real downgrade from my 1999 Panasonic Fax machine that finally got too old. When that old machine had sent the fax, it immediately said in the display box how many pages had been sent successfully. If a fax did not go through, it also let me know that immediately in the digital display box. I don't need all the bells and whistles you brag about, but I do need and want the feature your machine is lacking, a feature that is important to me, and unless you can rectify this problem, I will never be a happy purchaser of this new machine. Our last fax machine was easier for broadcasting...type in a fax number, hit Broadcast, enter another number, Broadcast, etc. Then the machine would send to the entire list. With this machine I have to enter all numbers, create a group...just doesn't seem as convenient. If I sent my faxes to the same numbers all the time, it would make sense. Am I missing something? Is it really easier than I think?
