The tape is advertised as clear but should probably called translucent.

This label tape is handy & looks great. That said, I'd use it more at a lower price point. Considering it's construction and materials, it's pretty pricey.

We love using M-Tape on our files and binders. A neat office is a productive office! The option to color code is extremly helpful as well. We use Staples single tab manilla folders and large letters so documents are visible for everyone. On our black binders we use the white letters for maximum visibility. Ordering at Staples is easy - but we have an amazing account rep who helps us in a jam: Kim McBurnie. I think having an account person is an amazing benefitwhich is why we LOVE Staples!!

I purchased the clear by mistake. I wanted the white background. I was trying organize storage buckets and the clear does not allow the print to stand out enough. I would have returned it but I didn't realize it till after I opened the package. Not at all pleased.

Great for use on colored backgrounds. Easy to read & variety of fonts.

If I didn't need to buy this particular brand/model of labels for my p-touch, I wouldn't. The label is so hard to separate from the backing paper that I almost always end up having to trim the ends with a scissors to cut off the torn/bent ends.

Very disappointed. This is sold as "black print on clear tape". But the tape is NOT clear. It has a very frosted appearance. I purchased it specifically to print out labels for various colored name tags that I did not want to get engraved. They looked bad with the MK-231 black on white tape we already had, so I purchased this, believing that CLEAR meant clear and I would see only the letters. That is not the case and it has a very frosted and obvious appearance.
