I considered purchasing a new printer but have noticed there are many complaints out there on the new version of my printer. I love this printer so it was an easy decision to purchase a new drum unit after reading all of the comments on the new printers. I just think the drun unit is way over priced. It is over 1/2 the price of a new printer. But, by the ratings out there right now, the new printers have issues printing checks and we do that every day on this printer with no problems.

I must admit this machine is a workhorse. I do use it quite often but would'nt consider myself as a heavy user. This is the second drum I needed in the past 2 1/2 years.The price has nearly doubled!Also, since the 1st drum change the machine did not reset. It always says to "replace the drum soon". This is quite frustrating since I only know to replace it after the machine dies completely.

This drum is very expensive for a small business, and the claim to 25,000 copies is downright laughable. I've had the printer for about 3 years now and never got more than about 5,000 copies out of a drum unit. Then it starts making nasty spots, and don't even TRY to clean those off with alcohol and a cotton swab: it totally ruins the drum.
