This is a cartridge that does not need to exist: the capacity is too low. We are 3-person company and us the printer infrequently. Even so, we run out of ink-toner every month (1,200 pages is the specification for this product. The other product, TN-450 is a better alternative. One other suggestion I would like to make is the price. There are now third-party suppliers that sell the same product at more than fifty percent discount. So, I say: lower price, increase capacity, keep the quality - I will be happy.

      As a senior citizen, I use my printer a great deal for documentation of research projects. I would not like to have to frequently change a cartridge which would be difficult to install. I appreciate the fact that Staples provides for recycling of the old cartridge in exchange for a small rebate which helps to offset the cost of the replacement. We, of the fixed income generation, rely on every bit of help available.

          We purchased this printer for our small business. One of the selling points made by the salesperson was the low cost/high output of the replacement toner cartridges. Unfortunately we have not found that to be the case. We have owned the printer for about a month and are on the third cartridge already. We seem to be getting about 500 pages per cartridge.
          The print quality is good however.

          This product is not bad, however I keep thinking there needs to be a more economical way to print - the cartridges are just so darn expensive, and while we did print a lot, the cartridge did not even last 1 month. We now have purchased the higher yield cartridge and are going to give that a go, but man oh man. Our office has a printer at each work station, and while most do not get much use, just to print mailing labels misc documents, etc, but ALL of the ink cartridges are expensive. One cartridge seems to be more than that actual printer itself. Ridiculous!
