Nice file cabinet but cheap finish
from New Castle, IN
About Me Midrange Shopper
Comments about Bush Tuxedo Collection in Mocha Cherry Finish; Lateral File:
Nice product, went together easily. Pay CLOSE attention when attaching the drawers rails to the completed drawers. I got hung up on figuring out which way they went and nearly gave up. finish is SUPER cheap. I bought plexiglass to cover the top as even writing on something on top of it dings the finish.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Solid construction & worth every penny!
In 2006 I purchased 2 of these Lateral Files, the L shaped Desk and the Hutch for my home office. 6 years later and they're still going strong, drawers still slide easily, doors still open and close easily, wood finish is still looking good. This was an excellent investment.
About Me Budget Shopper
Very satisfied! [...] This is a relatively inexpensive filing cabinet with the look of a more expensive piece. Plenty of room for all of my home and business needs.
Great piece!...takes a little effort
from Houston, TX
Great construction--sturdy, heavy, solid. The assembly is made easier by good instructions, but it still takes some effort. Glad to put it together to save a little. The drawers have a safety feature that prevents you from opening both drawers at the same time and chancing it falling off balance.
Great Cabinet Unit
from Wilmington Delaware
This cabinet matches the desk perfectly. Plenty of storage, nice constructions. Did not take long to assemble. I got it on sale and wouldnt think twice about buying it again. Looks great in my contempory office!
Pleased with product
from carbondale, IL
I bought this cabinet to match my desK and hutch. Assembly was not difficult with the exception of the very first step! The diagram shows the drawer runners flush with the wrong end of the piece you are attaching it to. [...] I love the cabinet but the bottom drawer doesn't slide quite as smoothly as the top. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

Beautiful yet practical & sturdy design
from Detroit - The Motor City
Liked it so much I bought another and now own 2 of these. Not to difficult to assemble but it is a bit time consuming. Had no problems with the drawer lock/catch mechanisim, all works as it should. Drawers slide in/out easily and stay shut. If one drawer is open the other drawer cannot open, this prevents tip-over, a very nice safety feature. These cabinets are very roomy and can support alot of weight both inside and on top. I use the top of one to hold my HP-1220DTN Business Inkjet Printer and my Scanner, the other is for additonal electronics ie, paper shredder, telephone, etc. which keeps the desk top free for me to clutter with needless paperwork. I also have the matching L shape desk with hutch, have had this set for about 2 years with no problems, very pleased with all.

Drawers Won't Stay Shut
By Working from Home
from Indianapolis, IN
About Me Practical
I love the way this looks and the desk as well. The drawers will not stay shut. They slowly creep open. We did not manage to install the locking device.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Poor packing and damaged
from kings park, ny
About Me Stylish
This was bought for home use. The packaging was damaged and there were pieces which were in the box that were damaged and glued back together. I am very unsatisfied with the condition of the product.
from Seattle, Wa
I bought this with the desk and the hutch. I put it together last thinking that it would be the easiest. I love how it looks and how it functions but putting the drawers into the cabinet was a pain. I gave up on getting the locking part of it to work. You are only supposed to be able to open one drawer at a time.
