Very frustrating when printer asks for new toner cartridge and there's at least, for our purposes, a month's worth left in the cartridge. So I experimented and shook the cartride every time it refused to print (which was regularly)
and I got at least another 1000 pages out of it. I don't understand why. It happens with every cartridge so it's not like the cartridge was defected.???????

      Going forward I will go to Staples for my next replacement cartridge. I searched the inernet and went to two competitors first as they said they had this item in stock, and when I got to their stores this item was not in stock. I waisted too much time at competitors that did not document their "in store" inventory correctly on the internet. Cudos to Staples for being accurate on the "in store" inventory of this item. I am now a loyal customer! Thank you...

      I love my Canon 8050Cn multi-function printer but the Canon black cartridges for this machine do not come close to living up to their claim of 2700-3000 pages with 5% coverage. I print only documents with this machine and very few of them have any graphics or other "ink-sucking" images. However, in the time I have owned the machine I have gone through six black cartridges (in addition to the starter cartridge) and have printed 7,124 black pages. During this same time I have only replaced the color cartridges twice and have printed 4,323 color pages.
