Cannot comment on ink usage yet. Just got printer.
But am very impressed with performance, print
quality, speed, ease of use, easy set-up and compact footprint for printer that can print up to
13 X 19 photos. Also enjoyed one day delivery.
Printer was well packed and in pristine condition
on arrival. Rated 4 stars since I don't know about ink usage yet.

Purchased as a floor model, so I got a great deal on this printer.Ink cartridges are reasonably priced. It also holds up to 11 X 17 paper.This makes it great as an office printer.Its speed is reasonably fast also.I would recommend this printer to anyone with a small business.

Lightweight but sturdy printer. There is no paper manual but a quick setup guide will get you going in short order. A complete manual can be found ont the enclosed CD and on the CANON web site. It's important to check the CANON web site to get the latest drivers. I anticipated a problem with 64 bit Windows 7 but that didn't happen. When I installed the driver the printer responded and I got a good copy right away. I had downloaded a form that was smaller than I wanted but my word processor scaled it to my liking and the printer did a nice job even with the yellow areas of the form. I also wanted to download a coupon with a bar code. There seemed to be no problem with that either. Some had complained that the printer was loud. I didn't find that to be an issue, perhaps my printer experience with other printers made me expect more noise than what this one creates. This printer seems to do it all very well for me. I have not tried printing photos as this function is not high on my priority list. I was looking for a dedicated printer, not an all-in-one, and find that this one does the job at a great price.

I am a professional photographer who orders most prints from a pro lab. I was using an Epson printer and the ink became too costly and they were putting less in the cartridges. It was an expensive machine and this one is much cheaper to operate.

Setup was straight forward and seamless. It is a very adequate 11 X 17 format printer. One downside, it will not do duplex printing. I would recommend it to others.

5 individual cartridges with a ultra fine print head technology produces great looking documents and photos. Too bad it isn't WIFI but its really no big deal to use a wire.

I've replaced all my hp printers with Canons over the last couple years. The Canons I'm buying are built in Vietnam or Thailand. They're fairly easy to set up but you have to follow the instructions to the letter.

I've been very pleased with the print quality and the ink usage.
