Like most toner, I've lately been told, the cartridge has a maximum lifetime (for me, a little more than 2.5 years) even though the toner was no where near being used up. I wish I had known that before this cartridge--and the other 2 colors, and the black--all quit working.

If you've got a Canon laser printer, then Canon toner is a good, safe choice. After-market brands might do as well, however; and they may be cheaper.
