Comments about Canon CLI-226 Ink Tank; Grey:
Short life but printer requires ink.
Good Color, wish it was bigger

I picked up the Canon PIXMA 6220 for my wife (and myself) as she does scrapbooking and being able to print out excellent photos whenever she wants is great. When printing photos though, the ink does disappear fast though. Replacing the ink cartridge is super easy and there is a LED on the cartridge to let you know which ones need to be replaced and whether or not it was installed correctly. The cost isn't too back compared to other ink from different printers. Depending on how much use we might go to a continuous inking system though.

Gray Ink for Canon

I never will understand why Canon uses two black ink cartridges and a gray one. Why not use black at lower density. I have no problems with these cartridges.
Paying for the name!

I have always used canon Printers from the very first computer to today. And..I only use Canon products in my Canon MG8120 printer. I find them to be very good but they run out very fast and are extremely expensive to replace. The printer takes 6 cartridges and as you can see, replacing quite often is quite costly. I won't use other "comprable" inks because I don't want to ruin my machine. I think Canon should do something to loyal Canon products customers.

ink is very expensive for what you get and it does not last long when printing photo's. Use if you want to print something special and go elsewhere to print the rest to save you some money. the sales person at the store told me that they did not have the ink i needed and i kept looking and found it myself... staff could use a little more help in how to find items. Not sure if I will keep replacing this ink or go to a different printer that is less maintenance on refill of inks. I don't really want to give up printing my own stuff from home.

We do not print pictures often, and when we do we expect great quality. This product does that for us. We are extremely satisfied and have recommended this to several friends.

I have always loved Canon printers for their overall range of print tones for my photos. No longer do I fight with background elements looking like original, but faces looking overally magenta, cyan or yellow.I like the addition of gray ink for black and white images and grayscale when needed. Canon's inks have always dried practically on contact and have a sharp, vivid quality. As to longevity, I have some prints that hung in the direct beam of sunlight here in the 360 days a year New Mexico sun for over 9 years with no perceivable fading.
