I really like the Canon MX822 printer that I bought at Staples. It consistently give the best reproduction of letters, business cards, photos and anything else I have to print. My biggest problem is the signal that my ink is out or running low. I don't know if this is a function of the printer or the cartridge but it needs to be fixed. I can usually print black and white output for a week or two after getting this message.

Cannon requires all the containers of ink to be full. It has 2 black cartridges but it the small one runs out, it won't use the large cartridge of black. Instead it won't print until you get a new small cartridge of black. This stinks and is only done to make the company more money. I won't buy another Canon.

Just received a Cannon as a gift this January- the ink is excellent - great copies- I create flyers for my church and all the ladies are expressed with the ink quality.
The ink is expensive for me for I am a Senior citizen and I am on a fixed income. So I budget my money for my ink supplies. Maybe Cannon can reduce their prices.

Hopefully I plan in the near future to use my Cannon printer for photos. If copies,letters and flyers are clear and outstanding, I will love the results when printing my photos.

I have been through a number of printers / ink in my day and Canon rates number one with me. In the past I have had Epson printers which seemed to eat ink. Canon printers have outlived my previous printers and I am very happy with them. The ink seems to last much longer than my previous experience with Epson printers.
