Comments about Canon PG-240XXL Extra High-Yield Ink Cartridge; Black:
XXL Cartridge does not last as long as expected. HP cartridges have a much longer life.

About Me Budget Shopper
These are great printer cartridges. A little ink will go a long way. I switched from a HP printer, which I seemed to need to replace the black cartrige about every other month to a (wireless) Canon six months ago and this is the first time I have replaced the black ink, the color is still more than half-full. I have done countless school papers, coupons, and photos. The instillation is super-easy and fast and the printer automatically calibrates it. I really liked the fact I didn't have ink all over my hands when I changed the cartrige like I did on the HP.

About Me High-end Shopper
This cartrige is the best for the price. The ink is clear and dark unlike a laser printer and produces quaility documents. I have used the standard, the XL and the XXL if you print a lot then this is the best value and produces a higher yield of print.
Better deal by buying a bigger quantity

I bought because it was a better deal getting the larger ink amount and price was better and hopefully will last a long time.

Canon PG-240XXL Black Ink Cartridge

I would like this product made in a continuous feed as I print so much it only lasts me a month. Not an issue with the product just an issue with me.
Extra High Yield? Not!

About Me Midrange Shopper
After my Canon 240XL black cartridge ran out after just over 200 pages, I decided to pay a bit more and upgrade to the 240XXL since it states it "yields up to 600 pages". If I'd gotten close to that I'd have been happy. I had a lot of pages of text to run off. About 460 pages of just text, no photos whatsoever with the standard margins and 12 point font. At around 410 pages, it started having issues with white lines through the text telling me the cartridge was on its last legs. I got about 10 more pages out of it before the text was unreadable and the cartridge was done. So thats 420 pages--a long way from the 600 advertised. The ink itself remained true and dark pretty much to the end but I am definitely disappointed in the quantity of ink Canon ink tanks offer for the money. A little $29.00 printer is going to cost me a fortune in ink. I may have to pull my old Canon printer out of retirement.
Finally a High Yield Ink Cartridge

Get a lot of mileage out of the xxl, just wish the cost was less.
