This is the second time I have purchased this model. I bought the first one about 3 years ago and used it 40 hours a week until it stopped working last week. I tried using my son's cordless mouse, but it drove me crazy as was not precise. I actually bought 2 of the M500 in case they stop making corded mice. I feel I am set for the next 6 years now. Only downside is that it does not work as well on glass or shiny white surfaces.

It scrolls really smoothly, like that it has two different scroll options with just a click of the button on the top of the mouse.

Upgraded the the software and I work with Lotus 123. I could not scroll up and down. Once I got the Logitech mouse and downloaded the correct driver it works great.

Corded mice are getting hsrder to find - this is perhaps Logitech's last corded mouse with the same features as the more popular cordless models. My wife likes the simplicity of a mouse that does not require batteries or battery charging.

I have been through 2 of these mice in a little over 2 months. During normal office useage, both of the mice became shakey and virutually impossible to use. Very frustrating
