    Got these for a 1st grader. She loves to draw pictures and getting better at writing letters. She loves all the colors, but the lighter shades don't look too good on penmanship paper.

            We are keeping interactive journals in my elementary school class this year. In order to keep interest high and personalize their journals, I purchased several boxes of these colored pencils for my students to use in their journals. I love the Crayola brand pencils because they seem to sharpen better, write smoother and clearer, and the lead doesn't seem to break too easily. The students enjoy using them in their journals. The fun they have using them helps to cement their learning. Always a good thing.

            I use them for anatomt and physiology class to draw body parts and cells. The colours are vibrant and help creat fabulous detail on all the small parts from enzymes to atoms. I also draw outdoor scenes detailing animal fur, feathers, insects trees stones, rodents and much more. Horses are fun to depict, detailing each little hair and lines, curves and eyeballs as well as the teeth, the browns and yellows and greys work real well together In all I've enjoyed using my pencils for many things
