Not Quite 50 Sets
Comments about Crayola® Crayons Classpack® ; 16 Colors, 800/Box:
The only reason a teacher has for purchasing such a box is the hope that buying in bulk will bring down the costs. As a rule, you can find 25¢ boxes of Crayola crayons SOMETIMES but the limits are so awful you can't really get a set of 32 easily.
Therefore, I opted to buy the classpack and create individual sets myself. As I sat and work placing a full set into Ziplocks, it became clear that some colors were more represented than other colors. In the end, I was able to create 44 full sets of Crayons, which is 6 sets short of the 50 listed. I did have anywhere between 3 and 6 crayolas left over from random colors like pink, brown, light green and white, but not enough to have made the missing 6 sets.
This was disappointing because it's a lot of time to sit there and place them in baggies. Plus, I was hoping for the extras in case I had new students join the class.
I know this seems like such a little thing, but to a teacher, it's huge.
