Wireless conflict with router

Comments about D-Link Wireless IP Camera:
Connected to my router easily, but range was not good enough for my purposes. But then my router got fried by lightning/ power surge, so I needed another. Configuration to wireless of new linksys router did not go very smoothly. Channel conflicts, etc, much time with help, and finally did resolve it. But now my other wireless devices don't like the settings required to make the camera work. Camera lens is not very wide angle, so limited view. Choppy reception.
This for the price is to high

Great setup and use!

This product does what it says it does! For those that had some strange impression that you could use it for a web cam or the other, read the product details before you buy something. This camera is clearly a security setup. Great for Home, or the office. Once you set it up with the disk, you can move it anyway within your wireless range, or add a wireless range extender. We have 7 of these and they all work perfect! Yes, you have to use Dlink's web site to view, but so?! They are really the closest thing to plug and play that you can get. The video is perfect and the sound is too. You can also create access for others to log in and use also. So great for Managers that need to get access as well. For the price, these are perfect. The field of view is really good, i was not expecting such an open view. At 75 from the lens you can see about 80 feet across in both directions. At about 30 feet you can get about 20-27 feet across. Sorry, just ball parking the views from what we have setup. All you need after setup is power and WIFI, and you can move them as much as you want.
Does what it says it does. Great Value.

Bought this to catch a thief stealing off our patio. Set up was straight forward. Quality is good, although no night vision. Record by motion detection is ok, but not sure I would be able to get a quality photo if the thief came to my patio. Also, takes a lot of photos and clogs up my email, although modifying sensitivity helped the problem. Great for peace of mind when away for the weekend. I could see this being a great baby/nanny monitor. App for live streaming is cool. Pretty much does what it says it does, for a great price.

Not as easy to set up advertised
By puzzled pro

set this up initially right next to my PC, then disconnected & put it in its permenant place & that's where the fun begins. Never got it to reconnect after that so I reset it to factory & started over & now told me I needed the new setup wizard from dlink support. got that but won.t load, so now I'm stuck! this thing going back tomorrow
Thanks but NO thanks NOT WORTH IT !!!!!!

Setup is somewhat easy if you have some knowledge of your equipment. Limited area view, camera has to be near a place to plug it in and the cord is SHORT !!! so wireless means your able to log in to see it!! Kept losing the DELAY live feed on my laptop, but the ipad was ok. so it was a waste of my time ! Bought it today, taking it back tomorrow !! Not worth the price!! worth about $5 !SO DO NOT BUY THIS !!! ZERO STARS !!!!

Great product easy set up

We wanted to keep an eye on our home and our camp. We have 2 cameras one in each location and it can all be viewed on one app. The beta version for MAC didn't work right, so we installed it on the PC and had no problems. Easy set up. Easy to use. Looking forward to adding more cameras for more views. We originally planned on getting cameras for outside, but we put them in the windows and it works great to see cars coming in the drive way. LOVE THESE CAMERAS

Bad Design - Limited Use - Poor Support
By Bill [@]
from North Conway NH
We bought this to use as a live web cam through company server and liked the wireless design. Searched for info to see if this would work for that - none found from DLink or web resources. Made sense to think that an IP cam would work as a live web cam. Could only access image via dLink website. Emailed tech support. Created a ticket asking if it could be a webcam. 4 days later with no response we re-sent question on same ticket. Got a 10 word response: 'No, you can not stream the video to a website." We should have bought the $25 generic wired cam and ran it through our server instead.
