Comments about D-Link Wireless IP Camera with Night Vision:
This is the second unit that I installed for the same customer. Her mother is frail, lives alone and has nursing care most of the day. However, the daughter wanted to be able to check on her mother at night or when the nurse is not there. We set the first on up to monitor the bedroom and bath area. It was so successful that we added a second one to monitor the living room and kitchen. Now she has piece of mind knowing she can check on her smartphone, tablet or home PC.

Nice little camera with lots of features. I plan on getting more. Once you figure out the software you will be amazed at what this little cam can do. I only use it to record to my PC when motion is triggered. Works like a charm. Can also set it to send emails with snapshot pics whenever you want them. Nice iPad-iPhone apps to get live view from cam. Can add up to 32 cameras on the software. I wish Dlink would make an outdoor "wireless" cam soon. the only problem I have run into with this cam is I have it mounted in a window to monitor the front door and depending on the the sun will get fooled by the reflection on the glass. No fault of the camera though. Highly recommend.
Great camera for the money.

Great camera. I use it to monitor my pets. I first tried the black/white camera, but the quality was not so great. I would pay the extra to get the color, low light (infrared) models. They work great in low/dark light. So far, no problems with wireless connection.
Worked but quit

The concept of being able to view our summer home with this camera was great. I set it up and it worked great for several days, however once I was at my winter destination it stopped functioning and I have not been able to regain use of it unless, I assume someone physically attends to it. I would rate it as works but is unreliable.

Setup took about 5 min and was super easy.CONS: So far, not many. the Audio has a lot of static but volume is fine. I just need it to hear them cry.
It's OK

The directions were unclear in many areas, and trying to up grade the firmware was difficult at best. Once I had the firmware upgraded, the camera has worked flawlessly. I currently have it located under the eaves, checking the front porch. We have had at least one cat leaving their calling card, and I wanted to see which one it was.
Looks like a toy, works like a champ.

We were looking for a camera at my place of work to oversee a storage area that needs to be watched, but not where somebody can be all of the time to watch it. I set up the camera to watch the stairway to the area on my computer, and to use the iPhone app if I'm away from my desk. I only spent a little time trying to set up the softwares email function, to get screen captures for after hours when I'm not there but others are,and emailing those to my phone, but I was not able to get that part to work correctly.
Not bad

I got this for my business security. Also I can see the kids which is nice. The internet is a weak link with this. Hard wired is better at times. Wifi works pretty good. Mac users can only see 1 cam at a time. Works on IPad2 but can be slow if using wifi to watch in same location. If you NEED 100% reliable, this is not the one. But if you want low cost and average relaibleity, I paid 80-90$ and i feel that is fair. You will need to pay more for a mission critical system. Night vision works great. Turning off green light (cam is on) in the backend so no one knows you are viewing is nice if you have a babysitter. It requires a quick googling. Keep track of all passwords! Java can be a pain in the butt with this. Updates are always popping up but do seem to help. This is a basic product that gets you in the game. I like them for what I paid. Be prepared for some issues. This is not by any stretch, a perfect products. It is best for those on a budget with minimum goals. I dont think this is weather proof so Out doors use may require a PHD. :)

Works Great

The set up was a breeze. The hardest part was figuring out where in my house to put it. But installing the software and setting it up on both my computer and my phone were very ease. I do wish the cord to plug it in was longer or that it ran on batteries. But other than that, it's great, plan on buying at least one more to cover other parts of my home.
