We have purchased multiple mats over the past few years that began cracking within a few weeks. So far, these are great. Our carpet didn't seem all that thick, but we could feel the difference rolling across these new mats right away - much firmer. Even though we spent more on these, we don't anticipate needing to replace them for a very long time, if at all.
