    I use these cartridges all the time but this was the first time I ordered them on line. I opened the package for the first one, put my fingers in to pull the cartridge out and they were covered in ink. The cartridge must have broken open. I had to return it to the local store. I ordered 6 cartridges so I hope the others are not the same.

        If I knew how quickly Dell cartridges run out of ink, I would have made a different buying decision. It is a good product, except the ink cartridge fails too many times when I need to produce important documents.

          Both sizes of the Series 11 black ink cartridges have a very serious flaw. Extra ink leaks out from the cartridge and dries and smudges the print head. This can start after just a few days. I have removed the cartridge and then cleaned the head with isopropryl alochol and qtips and replaced the cartridge. But within a few more days, the same problem reoccurs. What a pain. Unfortunately, I don't have another option with this Dell printer.
