                  I needed short pencils to put in our pews at church. I've used them before for this purpose, but this time I noticed with some of the pencils, the lead was only usable on one side--the wood covered the other. Maybe the lead was not centered in the pencil itself. I've tried using regular sized pencils with erasers, but parents were concerned about children hurting themselves. We need to find something else to use.
